Located just north of I-285 between the Cities of Marietta to the west and Dunwoody to the east, Sandy Springs offer quick access to downtown Atlanta. The City of Sandy Springs was founded on December 1, 2005. The city boundaries include national forests, the Chattahoochee River, national park sites, residential development, vibrant shopping and restaurants and boasts more commercial office space than downtown and midtown Atlanta combined.
